RedPad, Tablet PCs ‘Elite’ for Government Officials
Beijing – Local companies in China make a tablet that is devoted only to be used by local government officials. Tablet named RedPad Number One is sold at a price high enough, that is USD 1590.
Tablet-based Android operating system is equipped with a variety of applications whose function is to help government tasks of the Communist Party of China. According to its maker, Red Pad fairly high price due to the presence of these specific applications.
Quoted by Reuters on Sunday (1/22/2012), among other applications in RedPad can be used to select accrediting journalists, access to government databases and so on. As is known, the Chinese government is very strict control of the media.
