Android & iPhone, Security Challenges in the Era of Cloud

TAIPEI – Cloud computing from the company’s widely adopted. Also becoming prevalent security threat, one of which related to the popularity of mobile devices like iPhone and Android.
“Companies lose control relating to use of personal devices. Although they knew the risks, 78% of companies we surveyed allow employees to use their personal devices for work activities,” said Eva Chen, CEO of Trend Micro at the Sheraton Hotel, Taipei on Thursday (19/4/2011 ).
“We saw a 400% surge in infections in the Android platform last 3 months. iPhone is also increasingly threatened. The customer we began to realize in order to protect the data on the device and verify that it is ‘clean’ before being allowed to wear a corporate network,” he added.
Yes, in the future, projected corporate data that is accessed via mobile devices do not belong to the company or who has not secured more soaring. Trend Micro tried to anticipate this trend with an integrated mobile security solution named Trend Micro Mobile Security.
In addition to IT consumerism marked popularity of mobile devices, Trend Micro identifies two more things as a challenge in the era of cloud. Namely the rapid increase in adoption of cloud computing and the development of the Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), the hack attack from certain groups.
Trend Micro anticipates threats with adequate security solutions. They are sure to continue to develop its business with cloud security solutions.
In 2011, virtual and cloud-related businesses Trend Micro grew 131% from a year earlier. They are also a partner of the security companies such as Dell, NTT America and operator Chungwa in Taipei.
